Compound Slide

The Compound Slide swivels on, and bolts down to the Cross Slide tee slotted surface.

It has a protractor marked in its base, enabling the operator to adjust its axis to precise angles when used for turning tapers.

The Compound Slide uses a feed screw, similar to that of the Cross Slide, however, the movement is finer than either the Cross Slide or Saddle.

The Tool Post can bolt down and swivel on the top surface of the Compound Slide.

As with the other main components, the plates for the Compound Slide will be laser-cut from 20mm and 12mm plate, allowing for some nice radius slots in its base.

The use of laser-cut parts will dramatically reduce tedious cutting, grinding, filing and drilling.
