Project Stages

As we build each section of the homemade Hi Lo Metal Lathe, instructions, articles and drawings will be posted here.

We have already done a fair amount of design work, and it shouldn't be too long before the drawings, specifications and processes are established for building the initial components i.e. Base and Ways and the Headstock.

If you are purchasing an X-Y table, which is our recommendation, you will have a very useful machine after those two stages are built.
